Do You Have a Reason to Wake Up?

People who oversleep a lot, just like I used to, tend to blame it on the poor quality of their sleep (again, just like I used to). That’s only partially true…

If you oversleep often, improving your sleep could certainly help, yet probably won’t be enough. You see, getting high quality sleep is important, and should help you reduce sleep, but let’s face it – If your sleep isn’t optimized, the worst thing that SHOULD happen is that you’d feel tired during the day.

However, if you waste your time on sleep, on the count of other plans or duties you’ve had, well…that’s another story.

Most people would get themselves out of bed on time, even without an alarm clock, if they have to wake up to work or to other engagements. If you can’t resist the temptation to oversleep, you should take a closer look at yourself, and your life.

Do you sometimes have the feeling that you’re wondering through life with no direction?

When you live through life with that feeling of lack of direction…

When you have a few dreams, but they seem so far away that thinking about it only makes you sad…

Then you have no reason to make an effort, any reason to push yourself, even not to get out of bed.

Take a break and re-evaluate your life.
Where did you think you would be and where you are now, and why?

Set some goals. Some clear, realistic, yet challenging goals. Make sure they are YOUR goals, and not of anybody else, though. It could be simply watching less TV, sleeping less, working out, and might even mean you’d have to go out there and face your worst fears.

Most important, remind yourself everyday what it would take to achieve those goals, and commit to doing whatever it takes.

Make a plan, contact the right people that may help you, do whatever you have to do in order to get to your destination.

And of course, enjoy the journey…
