I’ve just read a good (short) article at the Life Optimizer blog that explains a great way to raise your productivity and get more out of your day, and your life…

Circadian Rhythms: The Key to Boosting Your Energy And Productivity »

What is the Circadian Rhythm?

It’s a mechanism in our body that affects our energy level, brain function, metabolic activity and what not…

A common way to track the Circadian Rhythm is by measuring body temperature. If you check your body temperature throughout the day you’ll find that it’s not constant at one level, but moves through a range of about one degree.

When it’s at its peak so are you (alert, energetic, creative…) and when it’s at its lowest point, you mainly want to rest or sleep.

If you could predict those highs and lows, you could use them to plan your days more effectively. (That’s what the article is all about.)

I have to admit that I haven’t yet  found out my “peak times”. I’ll have to work on that.
