My Story

Rotem CohenMy name is Rotem Cohen (pronounced Ro-Tem). I’m in my 30’s. I live in Eilat, Israel with my wife Ronit, and our young son Gilad (Born April 2008).

For most of my short life I had been a lazy, depressed and un-motivated person…

I had trouble getting out of bed on time, I was constantly low on energy, and I didn’t follow through on any plan or goal that I set for myself.

At the same time, I’ve always been a “self improvement junkie” – reading, watching and listening to self help material. Instead of music, my mp3 player is loaded with audio-books and recordings  of self development information.

With the help of some of those (but also thanks to the amazing support of my loving wife) I’ve gone through a huge change and I can proudly say that today I’m a different person…

I am much more motivated and energetic, I never oversleep anymore, (did I mention my chronic oversleeping problem?) I’m in great shape, have a very positive outlook and I work persistently and productively toward my goals.

At some point I’ve decided to share some of what I’ve learned with others. I started writing, reviewing websites, books and programs and recommending the ones I liked and found helpful.

A-Sleep.com was my first website, where I share tips and resources for overcoming tiredness and sleep problems.

I started Energy & Motivation at about the middle of 2008 and it’s been my main focus ever since. My goal here is to create a resource for people who are a lot like me, (and I know that there are millions…) who have big goals and dreams and great potential, yet struggle with lack of energy and motivation.

I still have a long way to go myself, to be honest. For example, I still have some bad habits that I would like to get rid of, but that’s what makes it even more interesting…

You see, I’m talking from personal experience and I share tips and resources that I’ve personally found helpful (or at least interesting).

I hope you enjoy your stay ;-)
